Abstract: Technical equipment of agricultural production plays a key role in ensuring food security of the country and sustainable development of the agricultural sector. In the world practice, the current state of this area is characterized by the use of a wide range of technical means, technologies and innovations to increase production efficiency, improve product quality and reduce the negative impact on the environment. However, despite the presence of a large number of innovations and promising technologies, the level of implementation of modern technologies and technical means in agricultural production in Russia remains quite low. The issue of providing specialized machinery for breeding and seed production, horticulture, vegetable growing, etc. is particularly acute. One of the reasons for this is the lack of domestic production of a wide range of specialized agricultural machinery, the high cost of modern innovative equipment of international world manufacturers and limitation of its supply to Russia. The prospects for the development of technical support of agriculture are associated with the implementation of state programs to support agricultural producers, as well as manufacturers of agricultural machinery and agricultural tractors.
