Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of increasing, in a strategic perspective, the quality of support for beginning farmers as a significant driving force of the regional economy of the Krasnodar Territory. Important characteristics of the functioning of modern farms are their high degree of production and economic isolation, flexibility, and the ability to quickly adapt to the socio-economic needs of regional development. In the context of the need to achieve food security, the indicated characteristics of the activities of peasant (farm) enterprises determine the growing importance of their constant support. Currently, the Krasnodar Territory has significant potential for regional development, including in the context of the functioning of the regional economy. The region's possession of the necessary resources allows for comprehensive support for farms. The most vulnerable from an economic point of view are the production and economic activities of beginning farmers. Here, a relevant direction for promoting their economic activities is the implementation of grant support. However, the existing mechanism of such support is complicated by many bureaucratic barriers. Thus, when preparing to participate in the competition, government bodies do not provide the necessary organizational, information and consulting assistance to beginning farmers. In addition, the heads of peasant (farm) enterprises experience a number of difficulties when preparing a business plan for future economic activity. It is advisable to adapt the system for assessing beginning farmers to make decisions on grant support for the current needs of the regional economy in the context of the implementation of the import substitution policy
